ANN ROTHER Obituary

Ann E. Rother, of Wilkes-Barre died on Friday, January 22, 2021 in the Wilkes-Barre General Hospital.

Born in Wilkes-Barre, she was the daughter of the late John C. and Helen B. McKenna Rother and was a graduate of Newport High School. She was a former member of St. Mary's Church  in Dorrance and a choir member before moving to Wilkes-Barre. Ann loved all kinds of animals and spending time with her family. She enjoyed trying new kinds of foods; playing games, listening to music and watching movies.

Ann lived through the Agnes flood and a devastating apartment fire, both times losing everything. Spotting the fire she alerted others and helped to ensure everyone got out safely.

Ann will be remembered as a kind, generous, and gentle lady with unwavering faith.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her brother, William Rother and her brother and sister in law, John and Amy Rother.

Left to cherish her memory are several loving nieces, nephews, sister in law, Ann Marie Yatsko and friends.

Family and friends are welcome to join the family for a visitation on Saturday, February 6, from 12:00-1:00 PM, at Desiderio-Lehman Funeral Home, Mountain Top.  A Funeral Mass will be celebrated Saturday, February 6, at 1:30 PM at Saint Mary, Our Lady Help of Christians, Dorrance.
