ANNA MARIE BIRK

Anna Marie Birk, 83, of Mountain Top, passed away in the Wilkes-Barre General Hospital, Post Acute Medical, with family by her side on Monday, December 27, 2021.

Born in Wilkes-Barre, she was the daughter of the late Stephen and Arual Censullo; was a graduate of St. Nicholas/St. Mary's High School, Wilkes-Barre and was employed by Crestwood School District as a Custodian.  She was a member of St. Jude's Church, Mountain Top and loved spending time with her grandchildren. She enjoyed going to the beach, reading and doing crossword puzzles.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Ronald Birk, Sr.; son, Stephen Birk; grandchildren, Ronald Birk III, Manda Eckrote Birk and sister, Marlene Griffin.

Anna Marie is survived by her daughter, Cindy (Eugene) Manfre of Wilkes-Barre; son, Ronald (Valery) Birk Jr.; grandchildren, Loriann (Eric) Conahan; Mark (Stacey) Manfre; Nicole (Ryan Brown) Manfre; Megan Birk and Christian; Zachery Birk and Autumn; great grandchildren, Olivia and Luke Conahan, Landon Birk, Kaysen and Kennedy Brown, Tucker and Lonie Eckrote, nieces and nephews.

Funeral service will be conducted on Friday, December 31, 2021, at 9:30 am from the Desiderio-Lehman Funeral and Cremation, 436 S. Mountain Blvd. Mountain Top with a Mass of Christian Burial in St. Jude's Church at 10:00 am.  Reverend Joseph Evanko will officiate.  Interment will follow in St. Mary's Cemetery, Hanover Township, alongside her beloved husband.

Friends are invited to join the family for a visitation on Thursday, December 30, 2021, from 4 to 6 pm and again on Friday morning, from 9:00 am until time of service.
