BARBARA ANN READLER

Barbara A. Readler, 76, of Wapwallopen, passed away at home, Sunday, May 30, 2021, with family by her side.

Born in Wilkes-Barre, she was the daughter of the late William and Doris Smith Bartley and was put in the Foster System, after Doris died, when Barbara was only 6 years old.  She was fostered and raised by Howard and Margaret Rinehimer, formerly of Slocum and was a graduate of Fairview Township High School.  Barbara worked as a nurse's aid in St. Stanislaus Nursing Home in Nanticoke and at Dana Perfume, prior to retirement.  She loved to do crafts, yard saling, go on Sunday drives and spend time with her family and their Pomeranian, Cody.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her granddaughter, Lauren Readler and brother, William Bartley formerly of BoothBay Harbor, Maine.

Barbara is survived by her husband, Philip M. Readler; children, Edward Readler and Sandra Dawson and her husband, Randy, all of Wapwallopen; Thomas Readler and his wife, Lori of Wilkes-Barre; grandchildren, Stefanie, Matthew, John and Thomas; brother, John Rinehimer and his wife, Joan of Mountain Top and nieces and nephews.

Funeral service will be conducted on Thursday, June 3, 2021 at 6:45 pm from the Desiderio-Lehman Funeral and Cremation, 436 S. Mountain Blvd. Mountain Top.

Friends are invited to join the family for a visitation from 5 to 7 pm Thursday, at the funeral home.
