Bernard J. Strzelecki, Sr. 85, of Wapwallopen, passed away at home on Saturday morning, August 13, 2022.
Born in Wapwallopen, he was the son of the late Vincent and Stephanie Kamionka Strzelecki and was a graduate of Newport Township High School. He worked as a farmer, until joining the United States Navy, where he served his country proudly. Bernard worked as a foreman at a dress factory, then most of his life worked for Friedmans Express as a truck driver. He was very mechanical and enjoyed working on cars, farming, trucking and spending time with family. He was a member of the Teamsters Union, St. Mary Our Lady Help of Christians Church, Dorrance and the American Legion.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brothers, Edward and Joseph Strzelecki, sister, Ruth Strzelecki and daughter in law, Ronda Strzelecki.
He is survived by his wife, Theresa Wojcik Strzelecki, children, Bernard Strzelecki Jr. of Sunbury, Angela Strzelecki and her husband, Joseph McCullough of Garnet Valley, PA; Mary Strzelecki of Richmond, VA; grandsons, Ryan and Kyle McCullough; brother, Anthony Strzelecki and his wife, Jane of Slocum Township, nieces and nephews.
Funeral service will be conducted at 9:25 am on Wednesday, August 17, 2022, from the Desiderio-Lehman Funeral and Cremation, 436 S. Mountain Blvd. Mountain Top with a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 am in St. Mary Our Lady Help of Christians, 3529 St. Marys Rd, Wapwallopen. Interment will follow in the parish cemetery.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday, August 16, 2022, from 4 to 7 pm and Wednesday morning from 9:00 am until time of service.
