BRUCE GEORGE EIGENBROD

Bruce G. Eigenbrod, 68, of Drums, passed away on December 21, 2025, at Allied Hospice on Meade Street, surrounded by the love of his family. 

Born in Nanticoke on July 18, 1957, Bruce was the son of the late Hilbert and Loretta (Rinehimer) Eigenbrod. He was a graduate of Crestwood High School and went on to work as a truck driver, later dedicating much of his life to serving his community.

In his younger years, Bruce was a Volunteer Fireman with the Dorrance Township Volunteer Fire Department, a role that reflected his dedication and willingness to help others. A man of many talents, he was a skilled mechanic, a Crestwood School District bus driver for more than 30 years, and someone who could fix just about anything. He took pride in working on the family home and yard, and was always willing to lend a helping hand.

Bruce had a love for animals, especially dogs, and cherished his beloved “fur babies,” Luke and Sadie. Some of his happiest moments were spent enjoying breakfast trips for Denny’s pancakes with his adored grandson, Aiden, and catching up with his brother and friends during breakfast gatherings at Mary’s Family Restaurant. He also found joy in feeding the deer around his home and was known for making the family’s delicious Christmas ham each year, a tradition treasured by all who shared it.

A quiet, honest, and hardworking man, Bruce loved his family deeply and showed it through his steady presence and unwavering support. He was a faithful member of Emmanuel United Church of Christ.

Bruce is survived by his loving wife, Glenda (Hess) Eigenbrod; his children, Robert Eigenbrod and his wife Caitlin of Ashley, and Justin Eigenbrod of Drums; and his cherished grandson, Aiden Eigenbrod. He is also survived by his brother, Gary Eigenbrod and his wife Sharon; numerous nieces and nephews; great-nieces and great-nephews; and his beloved dogs, Luke and Sadie.

Funeral service will be held on Friday, December 26, 2025, at 11:00 a.m. at Emmanuel United Church of Christ, 7768 Blue Ridge Trail, Mountain Top. Friends and family are invited to attend a visitation from 9:30 a.m. until the time of service at the church.

In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests that memorial donations be made to the SPCA, in honor of Bruce’s love for animals.

Bruce will be remembered for his quiet strength, hardworking nature, and unwavering love for his family, leaving behind memories that will be cherished forever.
