Carmella R. Rovinski, 93, of Mountain Top, passed away on Saturday evening, August 27, 2022.
Born in Wilkes-Barre, she was the daughter of the late Anthony and Pauline Monte Saracino and was a graduate of GAR High School. Carmella enjoyed traveling, cooking, entertaining, spending time with family and friends and actively participating in all of her clubs and organizations. She was a member of St. Jude's Church, The Altar and Rosary Society, Rosary makers, Mountain Top Women's Club, Quilting club and the Mountain Top Social Club. Carmella was a devout Catholic and loved doing things for the church over the years. She of course will be remembered for working in the Italian Corner at St. Jude’s picnic along with her sister and brother-in-law Polly and Tom Popko, and many other family members.
In addition to her parents and siblings, Polly, Manny, Phil, Archangeline, Vincent, Sammy, Louie, Nick, Joe and Mike, she was preceded in death by her husband, Joseph S. Rovinski; children, Paulette Bellumori and Gary Rovinski and granddaughter, Angelina Rovinski. Carmella is survived by her children, Joseph (Andrea) Rovinski of Mountain Top, Anthony Rovinski of Scranton, Thomas Rovinski of Mountain Top; Mary Catherine Leo (Robert) of Mountain Top, son-in-law, Dave Bellumori of White Haven, daughter-in-law Jennifer Senecal of Montana; grandchildren, Joey, Melissa, Dino, Maria, Gina, Danny, Michaela, Cecelia, Angela, Melanie, Emily, Sean; great grandchildren, Alivia, Joey, Ethan, Logan and Aubree; Companion Clarence Cromer of Mountain Top; nieces and nephews.
Funeral service will be conducted on Thursday, September 1, 2022, at 9:30 am from the Desiderio-Lehman Funeral and Cremation, 436 S. Mountain Blvd. Mountain Top with a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 am in St. Jude's Church, Mountain Top.
Friends are invited to join the family for a visitation on Wednesday, August 31, 2022, from 4 to 7 pm and Thursday morning, from 9:00 am until time of service.
