Cindy Weitoish, of Wapwallopen, died on Sunday, August 27, 2023 with family by her side.
Born in Wilkes-Barre she was the daughter of Arlene Zolnenowicz Grzybowski of Sugar Notch and the late John Grzybowski. She was a graduate of Hanover Area High School and was a true equestrian throughout her life. She had a passion for animals and funneled that energy into rescuing and supporting organizations that rescue. She was an active member of the PHHA and an advocate for the Equines for Freedom organization. Cindy adored her grandchildren, enjoyed dressage, racing and riding horses, and maintaining the beautiful farm she worked so hard to build.
In addition to her father, she was preceded by her brother, John Grzybowski.
Left to cherish her memory is her mother, Arlene Zolnenowicz Grzybowski, her loving husband of 18 years, Stanley Weitoish, stepson, Stan Weitoish and his wife, Amie of Wapwallopen; stepdaughter, Stacey Harman and her husband Chris of White Haven; four beloved grandchildren, Olivia and Maizie Weitoish and Benjamin and Penelope Harman. She is also survived by her nephew, Jared Grzybowski and will be forever remembered by her loving friends and family in the horse community.
Memorial service will be conducted on Friday, September 1, 2023, at 7:00 pm from the Desiderio-Lehman Funeral and Cremation, 436 S. Mountain Blvd. Mountain Top.
Visitation will be held from 5:00 pm until time of service, Friday, at the funeral home.
