Dolores Richards, 97, affectionately known as “Ducky” of Wilkes-Barre, passed away on Monday, October 13, 2025 in Allied Hospice, Wilkes-Barre.
Born in Baltimore, MD, she was the daughter of the late George and Helen Wilkins Richards and attended Meyers High School. Prior to retirement, she worked as a sewing machine operator for Bass Manufacturing in Plymouth. She was a woman of deep faith, known for her loving care of others. In quieter moments, she found joy in crocheting and needlepoint, creating beauty with her hands and warmth with her heart.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by sisters Ruth Richards, Elizabeth Wheeler, Marguerite Panzino, Mary Richards; brother, George Richards and her loving niece Linda Yelland.
She is survived by nephew Bob Yelland; nieces Vicky Czajkowski, Rachel O'Neil and her Lasa Opsa Renee.
Funeral services will be held Friday, October 17, 2025 at 10:00 am in Oak Lawn Cemetery's Chapel, Hanover Township. Friends are welcome to attend the funeral services and visitation at the Chapel on 9:30 am Funeral arrangements under the direction of the Desiderio-Lehman Funeral and Cremation.
