Edward L. Kaminski, 81, of Wilkes-Barre, formerly of Buttonwood section of Hanover Township, died on Friday, May 7, 2021, in Allied Services Center City, Wilkes-Barre.
Born in Wilkes-Barre, he was the son of the late Andrew and Pearl Gazelbach Kaminski and was a graduate of Hanover Area High School. Ed served his country proudly in the United States Army during the Korean Conflict and worked as a mail handler for the United States Post Office, prior to retiring. He enjoyed traveling, spending time with family, was a member of Exaltation of the Holy Cross Church and was an avid golfer.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded by his siblings, Stanley, Leonard and Henry Kaminski, Florence Vanderwerf, Helen Smith and Eleanor Terkoski.
Ed is survived by his son Kevin (Jennifer) of Bradenton, Florida; granddaughter, Katelind Kaminski and great granddaughter, Ava Clark.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Friday, May 14, 2021, at 11:00 am in Exaltation of the Holy Cross Church, Main Road, Hanover Township with Reverend Richard Cirba officiating. Interment will follow in St. Mary's Cemetery, Hanover Twp.
Visitation will be from 10:30 to 11 at the church.
