JEAN NARDONE

Jean Nardone, 89, of Mountain Top, died Tuesday, April 13, 2021 in the Wilkes-Barre General Hospital.

Born in Wilkes-Barre, she was the daughter of the late George W. and Agnes Sheeran Lacey. Jean graduated from Meyers High School and Mercy School of Nursing becoming a Registered Nurse. She loved nursing; helping people and worked at many hospitals, over her lifetime, including Mercy Hospital and the VA hospital. She went to Puerto Rico with UNICO and in her spare time she loved to play cards with friends, go to the beach, read and spend time with her loving family.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded by her loving husband, Lawrence Nardone, four brothers Robert, Harold, George and William Lacey.

She is survived by her daughter, Mary (David) Rivera of Jonestown; grandsons: James (Erin) Sherman of Rhode Island and Josh (Kelly) Sherman of Scranton and many nieces and nephews.

Private Funeral services will be held by Desiderio-Lehman Funeral and Cremation, 436 S. Mountain Blvd, Mountain Top with interment in St. Mary's Cemetery.

Memorial contributions, if desired, may be made to St. Jude's Children's Hospital, in her memory.
