JOHN COLON Obituary

John Colon, 74, of Mountain Top, passed away in Geisinger Wyoming Valley Medical Center, on Saturday, December 4, 2021.

Born in Gurado, Puerto Rico, he was the son of the late Elninio Colon and Angelina Tirado and was a member of St. Jude's Church, Mountain Top. John, alongside his wife, Maria, owned and operated JE Quick Marts at Konns Corners and S. Main Road, Mountain Top, prior to retirement. John had a strong work ethic and enjoyed taking care of the garden.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by siblings.

John is survived by his loving wife, Maria Klapacz, children, Lisa and her husband Mike Coulter of Wilkes-Barre; Thomas Colon and his wife Amy of Blackwood, NJ; Antonio Rivera, Frances and her husband, Anthony Joseph Montagnino; Howard H. Colon, all of New Jersey; 4 grandchildren; sister, Ramona and her husband Ralph Garcia, Houston, TX and many nieces and nephews.

Private Family Blessing service will be held at the convenience of the family from the Desiderio-Lehman Funeral and Cremation, 436 S. Mountain Blvd. Mountain Top.
