JOHN DONOVAN

John E. Donovan, 72, of Mountain Top, passed away on Wednesday, June 26, 2024.

Born in Hazleton, he was the son of the late William and Ethel Gribble Donovan and attended Crestwood High School and St. Paul's Lutheran Church, Mountain Top. John was an American Legion social club member who also enjoyed hunting, fishing and New York snowmobiling. He spent most of his life in a simple farmhouse on the estate of the late Ruth and Aaron Hess. Prior to retirement, John was self-employed as a truck driver.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by brothers, Charles and William Donovan.

Left to cherish his memory is his daughter Megan Donovan of Norristown, sister Marjorie Gentry of Delaware; nieces and nephews.

Funeral service will be conducted on Saturday, July 6, 2024 at 2:00 pm from the Desiderio-Lehman Funeral and Cremation, 436 S. Mountain Blvd. Mountain Top, with Pastor Michelle Kaufman officiating. Interment will follow in Albert Cemetery.

Friends are invited to join the family for a visitation from 1:00 pm until time of service.
