JOHN RUGGIERO Obituary

John Ruggiero, of Mountain Top, passed away peacefully on April 28, 2025 at Allied Hospice, Meade Street, surrounded by his loved ones. He was 78.

John was the devoted husband of Annette Ruggiero, with whom he recently celebrated 55 years of marriage on April 12. A proud veteran, he honorably served his country in the United States Army during the Vietnam War.  He retired from Intermetro Industries where he worked as a computer operator.

John was a faithful member of St. Jude Parish in Mountain Top and a dedicated member of their Knights of Columbus. He was an avid New York Mets fan and had a passion for taking digital pictures, capturing countless family memories through his lens.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brothers Francis Ruggiero and Bartolomeo "Barney" Ruggiero.

He is survived by his beloved wife, Annette; his children, Anthony Ruggiero, Jessica Varney and her husband Keith, and James Ruggiero and his wife Amanda; and his cherished grandsons, Dylan and Caden Varney and Jaxton, Julian, and Hudson Ruggiero. John is also survived by his sisters, Margaret Bassolino and Frances Fink, as well as many nieces, nephews, and friends who will miss him dearly.
