Obituary

Joseph M. Wincek, 74, of Forty Fort and Mountain Top, passed away peacefully with family by his side.

 

Born in Wilkes-Barre, he was the son of the late Joseph S. and Leona Briske Wincek and was a graduate of Plains High School.  He was employed as a project manager in the commercial construction industry and loved spending time with family.  Joe enjoyed playing golf, bowling, playing cards and an occasional trip to the casino.

 

He is survived by his children, Joseph Wincek, Angela (Christopher) Chandler; mother of his children and longtime companion, Esther Field Wincek; two grandchildren, Abigail and Alexis Chandler; siblings, John Wincek, Rita Howells, Patricia Fisher, Marie Scanlon, Marlene Grassi and many nieces and nephews.

 

Service will be conducted on Friday, November 4, 2022 at 7:00 pm from the Desiderio-Lehman Funeral and Cremation, 436 S. Mountain Blvd. Mountain Top. Visitation will be held from 5:00 pm until time of service.
