JoAnn Kotarsky

JoAnn Marie Rinehimer Kotarsky, 47, of Mountain Top, passed away Saturday, November 6, 2021, at home with family by her side.

Born in Berwick, she was the daughter of John H. and Joan E. Myers Rinehimer of Mountain Top and was a graduate of Crestwood High School, Class of 1992, and Luzerne County Community College, Class of 1994, with an Associates Degree in Dental Hygiene. JoAnn worked as a Dental Hygienist for Dr. Johns, Dr. Biscotti, and Dr. Foster, all of Mountain Top and was a member of Emmanuel United Church of Christ, Dorrance. She enjoyed camping, and loved to travel, especially to Ocean City, MD. Her most cherished time was spending it with family. She always looked forward to Sunday afternoons when family would gather for coffee.

Left to cherish her memory, in addition to her parents Joan and John, is her loving husband of 27 years, Jeffrey E. Kotarsky; children, Bradley and Samantha Kotarsky; sister, Jennifer (Michael) Palubinski of Skippack, PA; sister in-law Cher Simon of Bloomsburg who she was most close with; and many aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, and nephews.

Funeral service will be held on Friday, November 12, 2021 at 10:30 am in the Emmanuel United Church of Christ, Dorrance. Interment will follow in Emmanuel Dorrance Cemetery.

Friends are invited to join the family for a visitation Thursday from 4 to 7 p.m. at the Desiderio-Lehman Funeral Home, 436 S. Mountain Blvd., Mountain Top, and Friday morning, from 9:30 a.m. until the time of service at the church. Those attending the funeral are asked to go directly to the church. There will be no procession from the funeral home Friday morning.
