KAREN M. JURISTA

Karen M. Jurista, 64, of Mountain Top, passed away suddenly on Monday, May 12, 2025.

Born in Wilkes-Barre, she was the daughter of Andrew Macko and the late Barbara Smith Macko. Karen was a graduate of Crestwood High School and a devoted member of St. Jude’s Church in Mountain Top.

Karen cherished the simple joys in life—relaxing on her porch with family and her beloved dog, Dakota, listening to Bon Jovi, and watching her brother's fountain run. Her warmth, sense of humor, and deep love for those close to her will be remembered always.

In addition to her father, she is survived by her loving husband, Danny Jurista; brothers, Mark Macko and his wife Debbie, and Brian Macko and his wife Colleen, all of Mountain Top; and her adored nieces and nephews, Samantha, Abbie, Colin, and Sarah Macko.

A private blessing service for the family was held at Desiderio-Lehman Funeral and Cremation, 436 S. Mountain Blvd., Mountain Top. Interment followed at St. Mary’s Cemetery, Hanover Township.
