Karen M. Miller

Karen M. Miller, 71, of Mountain Top, passed away peacefully on Monday, August 10, 2026 in Lehigh Valley Hospital, Hazleton.

Born in Sunnyside, New York, she was the daughter of the late Jesse and Elinor Monahan (Gately) and graduated from Commack High School South. 

Karen worked as a pharmacy technician and was known for her love of animals, especially dogs. She enjoyed shopping, listening to music, good food, and all types of car racing. A lifelong sports fan, she especially loved watching her children and grandchildren play and made every effort to attend as many of their games as possible. Her family and grandchildren brought her great joy, and she cherished the time she spent with them.

Karen is survived by her children, Kelly Kirk (Josh), of Mountain Top; Keith Miller (Kellie), of Mountain Top; and Kayla Miller (Sean), of Monroe, NY; and her five grandchildren.

She is also survived by her siblings, Irene Stevens of Vass, NC; Julia Giambrone (Len), of Greenwich, CT; and Kevin Monahan of the Bronx, NY; as well as numerous nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held on Thursday, August 13, 2026, at 3:00 p.m. from Desiderio-Lehman Funeral and Cremation, 436 S. Mountain Blvd., Mountain Top. Friends and family may call from 1:00 p.m. until the time of service.

Karen will be deeply missed by her family, friends, and all who had the privilege of knowing and loving her.
