MICHAEL J. MARSHALL

Michael J. Marshall, 34, of Mountain Top, passed away surrounded by family at Thomas Jefferson University Hospital in Philadelphia on Monday, April 26, 2021.

Born in Wilkes-Barre, he was the son of Michael and Dawn Marshall, of Mountain Top. After graduating from Crestwood High School, he received his bachelor’s degree in Forensic Chemistry from Duquesne University in Pittsburgh. He worked in laboratory science for some time but decided to pursue his passion for travel and became a flight attendant. He was able to travel all across the world, but his favorite city was Hong Kong.

Michael was an avid skier and tennis expert. He especially loved to dance to his favorite techno music and always had a new move to show off. Michael was full of energy, excitement and adventure. He had a great sense of humor that always proved to lighten the mood. He cherished each moment spent with family, friends and loved animals, especially his dog, Bruno.

In addition to his parents, left to cherish his memory are his sister, Mandissa of Arlington, VA; brother, Matthew of Philadelphia; Grandmother, Irene Hanish of Nanticoke; numerous aunts, uncles and cousins; and friends all around the world.

A mass of Christian Burial will take place at 12:30 pm on Friday, April 30, 2021 in St. Jude’s Church, Mountain Top. Reverend Joseph Evanko will officiate. Private visitation for family will occur prior to the Mass at Desiderio-Lehman Funeral and Cremation, 436 S. Mountain Blvd, Mountain Top.

Friends are invited to worship with the family at St. Jude’s Church at the time of mass.

Memorial contributions in Michael's honor can be made to Blue Chip Farm Animal Refuge in Dallas.
