Marion E. McGeever of Mountain Top passed away at home surrounded by family on Monday August 2, 2021.
Born in Wilkes-Barre, she was the daughter of the late Ruth Smith McDonald and grand daughter of the late Anna Bauer Smith. Marion was a graduate of GAR High School 1951 and was employed by Bell Telephone for 44 years.
In addition to her mother, she was preceded in death by her husband James McGeever and brothers Harold and Robert.
She is survived by her son, James and his wife Charlene Frail-McGeever; daughter, Tracy and her husband Daniel Cornelius along with several nieces and nephews.
Marion was known for her knitting skills, love of crossword puzzles and good food. She was considered “Ma-Marion” to many and was always available to listen and offer timeless advice. She will be dearly missed by her family and friends.
Marion wished to have no formal services. She did believe in celebrating life and thus, a celebration of her life will be held on Saturday August 14th, 1:00 PM at McGeever’s Pond: 1082 South Main Rd. Mountaintop, PA 18707.
