December 20, 1929 ~ November 23, 2023 (age 93) 93 Years Old


Norma Beres, resident of Mountain Top, passed away comfortably on Thursday, November 23, 2023 with daughter at bedside.


Daughter of John (Whitey) and Mary Motovidlak, she was born December 20,1929, was raised in Georgetown section of Wilkes-Barre Township until moving to Mountain Top with spouse Stephen J. Beres.  She was a devout member of Saint Judes and Saint Leos. Retired from RCA Corporation, Norma was a phenomenal sewer and baker mastering her pierogies, cookies and nut rolls.


Preceded in death by husband, Stephen J. Beres, siblings, Edward Motoridlak, Charlotte Roman, Jean Beres and Florence Papsun.


Surviving are the loves of her life, daughters, Maribeth Galbraith (Chip), Cheryl Thomas (George); grandchildren, Bryan Thomas, Meghan and Justin Galbraith; granddaughters, Reilly, Cecelia and Madyson; sister, Theresa Petrosky; nieces and nephews.
