RICHARD J. URANOWSKI

Richard J. Uranowski, of Hanover Township, died on Friday, December 15, 2023 in the Wilkes-Barre General Hospital.

Born in Nanticoke, he was the son of the late Edward and Lillian Uranowski, Sr. and was a graduate of Hanover High School, Class of 1969.  Rich was employed as a furnace specialist for Certainteed, Mountain Top and served his country proudly in the United States National Guard. He enjoyed playing darts, hunting trips and was an avid NY Yankees Fan. He was a member of Hanover Hawkeye Rod and Gun and other civic organizations.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother, Edward A. Uranowski Jr.

Left to cherish his memory is sister Ruth A. Brody of Mountain Top; niece, Valerie Brody of Mountain Top; loving companion, Marge Zastavny of Hanover Twp; son Cody Karazia of Wilkes-Barre.

Funeral service will be conducted on Monday, December 18, 2023 at 9:30 am from the Desiderio-Lehman Funeral and Cremation, 436 S. Mountain Blvd. Mountain Top with a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 am in St. Jude's Church.

Friends are invited to join the family for a visitation from 4 to 7 pm on Sunday, December 17, 2023 and Monday morning from 9:00 am until time of service at the funeral home.
