Robert Tate, 91, of Mountain Top, died on Friday morning, December 24, 2021 in Guardian Elder Care, Nanticoke.
Born in Cuyahoga Falls, Ohio, he was the son of the late Floyd Tate and Hanna Hart Tate. Robert served his country proudly in the United States Army during Korea and was employed as a machinist prior to retirement. He enjoyed walks with the family dogs, planting tomatoes and word puzzle books. He was active in the community, was a member of the American Legion, Mountain Top and Little Falls, NJ; the VFW of Cedar Grove, NJ and volunteered as FireFighter in Cedar Grove, NJ.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded by his first wife, Marge Tate; second wife, June Tate; two daughters, Susan Miller and Linda Nigra and siblings, David and Jacqueline Tate.
Robert is survived by his son, Thomas Tate of Florida; step children, Michele Clark and Janet Giarratano, both of Mountain Top; William (Joanne) Taylor of Little Falls, NJ; Al (Norma) Taylor of Wayne, NJ; many grandchildren, great grandchildren; siblings, Clarence, Gail and Richard Tate, nieces, nephews; great nieces and nephews.
Private Family Burial will be in Chapel Lawn Cemetery, Dallas at the convenience of the family.
