Ronald Bernard “Skullboy” Raduta, of Nuangola, passed away on December 29, 2025, at Geisinger Wyoming Valley.
Ron was born on August 20, 1949, in Nanticoke, the son of Helen Nedardousky Raduta and the late Leonard Frank Raduta. He was a graduate of West Side Vocational Technical School, where he began developing the mechanical skills that would define his life’s work.
Ron proudly worked as a heavy diesel mechanic for Ryder Truck Rental for 39 years, earning the respect of coworkers for his knowledge, dedication, and strong work ethic. After retiring, he briefly worked at Sager’s Garage and later owned and operated his own repair shop, specializing in quads and side-by-sides, something he truly enjoyed.
Known to many by his nickname “Skullboy,” Ron had a deep love for anything with wheels. He especially enjoyed riding his side-by-side, motorcycle, and bicycle, with his wife Sandy always by his side, always happiest when he was on the move and working with his hands.
He is survived by his beloved wife, Sandra R. Badman Raduta; his mother, Helen Raduta; two nieces, one nephew; his stepson, John Bulman and many extended family members.
Ron was preceded in death by his father, Leonard Frank Raduta; his sisters, Mary Ann Garbett and Dolores Raduta; his son, Abraham Raduta; his former wife, Jo Ann Raduta; and his stepson, Jason Bulman.
Ron will be remembered for his mechanical talent, his independent spirit, and the loyalty he showed to those he loved. His legacy lives on in the family he raised, the machines he restored, and the many lives he touched.
Ron selflessly donated to The Gift of Life and a Celebration of his life will be held on Sunday, January 18, 2026 at Wheels Bar and Gills, Nuangola from 2 to 5 PM.
Arrangements under the direction of the Desiderio-Lehman Funeral and Cremation.
