SYLVIA STEVENS

Sylvia M. Stevens, Sr. 

Sylvia (Suhockey) Bonetski Stevens, Sr. 89, from Trucksville, passed away on Wednesday, July 27, 2022, surrounded by all her family.

Sylvia was born in Wilkes-Barre on November 29, 1932, the daughter of the late Victor and Jenny Suhockey and was a graduate of GAR High School. Her seven children, grandchildren and great grandchildren were her life.  She loved playing bingo, reading, listening to music, singing, dancing and baking. She was a loving, caring and grateful woman who loved her family deeply.

In addition to her parents she was preceded by her children, John Bonetski, David Bonetski and Sandra Bonetski Krivenko and siblings, Delores Lawrence and Leonard Suhockey.  

She  is survived by her five children, Diane Demnicki and her husband Andy; Brian Bonetski and his wife, Beverly; Lisa Klimaitis and her husband, Ed; Lori Stevens; Sylvia Decker and her husband, Danny; grandchildren, Craig Bonetski, Jason Demnicki, Jennifer Wintersteen, Ashley Decker and Emma Sutton; great grandchildren, nieces and nephews.

Funeral service will be conducted on Wednesday, August 3, 2022 at 9:00 am. from the Desiderio-Lehman Funeral and Cremation, 436 S. Mountain Blvd. Mountain Top with a Mass of Christian Burial at 9:30 am in St. Jude's Church, Mountain Top.  Interment in St. Mary's Cemetery, Hanover Township will follow.

Friends are invited to join the family on Tuesday, August 2, 2022, from 4 to 6 pm and on Wednesday from 8:45 am until time of service.
