Theresa Strzelecki, of Wapwallopen, passed away suddenly on Tuesday, January 23, 2024 in Geisinger Wyoming Valley Medical Center just a few days after celebrating her 86th birthday with family.
Born in Hobbie, she was the daughter of the late Alexander Wojcik and Stella Chrzanowski and was a graduate of Nescopeck High School. Theresa was employed as a clerk stenographer for the Bureau of Disability Determination and was a member of St. Mary Our Lady Help of Christians Church, Dorrance. She was devoted to her family and God. She enjoyed working in her vegetable garden, doing any type of puzzles, watching Penn State Football and going anywhere with her grandchildren, including cheering them on at their sporting events.
In addition to her parents, Theresa was preceded in death by her loving husband of 62 years, Bernard Strzelecki; siblings, Regina Mylet, Katherine Miliszauskas and John Chanoski, and daughter-in-law Ronda Strzelecki.
Left to cherish her memory, are her children, Bernard Strzelecki of Sunbury, Angela Strzelecki and her husband, Joseph McCullough of Garnet Valley, PA, Mary Strzelecki of Richmond, VA; two grandsons, Ryan and Kyle McCullough; sister, Florence Giafski of Wilmington, Del, her godchild Theresa Sotack and many nieces and nephews.
Funeral service will be conducted on Saturday, January 27, 2024 at 9:25 am from the Desiderio-Lehman Funeral and Cremation, 436 S. Mountain Blvd. Mountain Top with a Mass of Christian Burial in St. Mary Our Lady Help of Christians, 3529 St. Marys Rd, Wapwallopen at 10:00 am.
Friends are invited to join the family on Friday, January 26, 2024 from 4 to 7 pm and Saturday morning from 9:00 am until time of service.
