WILLIAM E. TANEY

William E. Taney, 77, of Wapwallopen, passed away on Friday, March19, 2021 at the Hampton House, Hanover Township.

Born in Dorrance, he was the son of the late Earl and Gertrude Stauffenberg Taney and graduated from Newport High School and LCCC, where he graduated Magna Cum Laude. Following graduation, William worked as a machinist for a metal fabrication factory. He was a proud member of the Irem Temple Country Club, Probost Guard Unit, Hazleton Shrine Club and Consistory in Bloomsburg. He loved fishing, hunting, gardening and anything that took him outdoors.

In addition to his parents, William was preceded by brothers: Gene, George and Donald Taney.

He is survived by his loving wife, Stephanie Lusko Taney; son, Mark of Nuangola; daughter: Virginia Harnsberger of Sneads Ferry, NC. He was the proud and loving grandfather of Zachary, Sydney and Samuel. He is survived by several nieces and nephews.

There will be no public services.
